A Birthday Monster!

My little guy is turning 4 next week (June 8th).
He's been asking me for months to create a monster for him, so I knew I had to have him ready for his birthday!

He was VERY specific about what his monster should look like.
He had to have green hair, a blue face, black arms and legs, and blue shoes.

He's about 11 inches tall if you count his legs.

I love that he needed to wear blue shoes! :)

I am so thrilled with how this monster came out...I'm secretly glad he's for my son so he'll be living here!
I'm going to ask him for more monster making advice in the future. He seems to be pretty good at it!

I do think I need to make some more of these guys for the shop though...what do you think? :)

I also finished this little fluff today!
I'd tell you he's looking for a new home, but he found it not long after I put him in the shop!
He'll be making his way to Canada Friday :)

Hmm...what's next?
I'm not sure yet.
I have four little Pocket Fluff faces staring at me...I want to make another big monster...and I want to finally make a Cheshire cat for the shop!
So many plans, so little time. ;)

Apple Jack - another My Little Pony inspired plush!

Just finished up another My Little Pony plushie!
This time I was asked to make Apple Jack.

I've given up on any dreams of becoming a hatter, so she got a store bought cowboy hat, lol.

She'll be making her way to her new home tomorrow. Apparently, she has a very important birthday party to attend!

And speaking of birthdays, my next project is for a very special little boy's birthday! :)
(This little customer was VERY specific on what I needed to create so this should be quite fun!)

Woohoo!

Woohoo! All the Pocket Fluffs on my list are now completed!
It feels good to mark off so many things from my never ending "To Do List."

All these little guys have already found a home, but I'm hoping to start working on some for the shop soon.

First up is this cute little pair!
They've been named Fidget and Gidget and they're off to live with their brother, Widget.
I can't wait to see what fun the three will have!

I always have so much fun with the little runt sized Pocket Fluffs...so I was pretty excited about working on three at once! As you can see, they were having a lot of fun together.
Glad they're all off to live in the same home!

And finally, Scramble. She went off to her new home today, and I've heard she's already had a big adventure at the mall. (Doodle is quite jealous.)

I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day this past Sunday!
I certainly did. My son even decided to help me with monster photos...

Next up on the work table is a custom order for a My Little Pony. Fun!

Oona the Second and some more fluff...

Looks like I've gotten behind on my blog posts.
Not sure how that happened!

Here's a few little creatures that have come and gone since I last visited here.
This first one moved off to the UK (and brought the rainbow fluff I showed you guys in an earlier post along with him).

This next little pair of runt sized Fluffs are also happily living in their new home together!
(They've been named Tribble and Nurple!)

I was asked to make another Oona bubble guppy for another little one, so I was more than happy to do so! We'll just call her Oona the Second.

I take back everything I said about a doll being so much faster the second time around. Oona did NOT like me for some reason! She ended up taking me a whole week to complete because of one silly thing after another! I'm not sure why we didn't get along while she was being created, but we decided to make up and be friends once she was completed.

And that brings us to today!
This is Septimus, a custom Pocket Fluff.
He had his name picked out before I even started making him! Lucky fellow.

I have six pocket fluffs staring at me right now, all just waiting for their finishing touches, so I'll share them with you guys in the next few days!
They're all from my waiting list, so no shop updates this week though.

I found I've had to slow down just a bit in my plushie making. I've been staying up waaaay too late and not getting nearly enough sleep so I'm having to force myself to go to bed now (boo!).
I also discovered all this hand sewing is giving me carpal tunnel! Ack!
Luckily, the wrist brace is helping a lot with that (and it makes me look tough too LOL). I guess I'll take that as a sign that I have no choice but to get comfortable with my sewing machine.
(And oh my, if I can make friends with my machine, we're going to be over run with fluffs!)
