Back so soon??

It always amazes me how much longer it takes me to make a doll from a newly drafted pattern.
This new girl took half the time the first one did!

I just introduced Mini K to you guys the other day...and now this is her sister!
Just like Mini K, I've nicknamed this one Mini A.
I'm sure their new home will come up with much better names for them both.

She's wearing her softball uniform.
I was really excited I managed to search around the internet and find a good enough picture of her team's logo to use for her shirt!

She's the same design as the last doll. Guess I need to come up with a name for this pattern.
Maybe another night, I'm way too tired right now. ;)

Just like her sister, she's 15 and a half inches tall, and is jointed in her shoulders.

I thought I needed a sister shot! :)

Mini K- A Custom Doll!

Here is my newest custom doll!

I was asked to make a "mini me" doll for a teenage girl in her soccer uniform.

She has a new body design.
She's about 15 and a half inches tall and is jointed in her shoulders.
I'm pretty pleased with this new design so I'm sure there will be more like her in the future!

My favorite detail is her shoes!
I debated for a long time how I was going to do her shoes...and finally decided to try painting them on. I'm so happy I did!

I decided to use an iron on transfer for her team name and number.
I'm really pleased with results and can't wait to make more dolls using the transfer sheets!

Isn't her hair pretty? It was a custom color from Jess at Tatilicous.
Oh, how she spoils me! :)

I'm letting her new home pick out her name, so for now she's just nicknamed "Mini K!"

I've got one more custom doll to finish, and then it's on to an army of pocket fluffs!

Pocket Fluffs!

If you follow me on Facebook, you will have already seen this guy...
I've been slow about writing out his blog post.
(Actually, I've just been terribly busy!)

Introducing the Pocket Fluff Monster!

This little guy is the perfect travel companion for anyone that's ever wanted their own pet monster.

He's just a bitty guy...about 4.5 inches tall and 3 inches wide.

I'd tell you he's in the shop, but he sold within minutes!
He's already having lots of fun in his new home!

My son helped me out with the photo shoot...and I just had to share what a wonderful monster groomer he is.

Plus, this gives you an idea of just how little these guys are!

I'm SO thrilled by the positive response I've received for these little guys!
(Eight on the waiting list already!)
I've ordered a whole bunch of new fur colors, so don't worry, there will be many more in the near future.

Anyway, back to work on the next two custom dolls! I'll be back soon to share them with you!

Oona, a Bubble Guppy inspired doll...and my own domain name!

Meet Oona, my newest commissioned doll!
I've always wanted to make a mermaid, so I was pretty excited when I was asked to make a doll based off one of the characters from the Bubble Guppies cartoon.

Oona is going to a very young girl, so I decided to give her felt hair instead of yarn.
She's actually my very first doll without yarn hair!

She's 9 and a half inches tall and just the right size for little hands to hold.
(At least, this is the size and shape that my one year old likes the best! She's already made it clear that I better make another one for her!)

Now that she's completed, I hope I can get that darn Bubble Guppies theme song out of my head!

In other news, I purchased my domain name!
That means now all you have to type is scribbledolls.com to reach my shop! Exciting, huh??

Now off to design the next two commissioned dolls!

Furgle, a new fluffy monster!

I was trying to clean up the giant mess Elaine left behind in my art room...and I noticed something has been shedding.
It took me awhile to discover the culprit.
He kept scurrying away from me, but I finally caught him!

This is Furgle!

I'm kind of in love with this little critter!
He and I had a wonderful time playing outside today (the nice weather helped too).

Furgle is looking for a new home in the shop!

I'll be back to working on the dolls from the waiting list next! :)
